This chapter of the EIA Report assesses the potential impacts of the Inch Cape Onshore Transmission Works (OnTW) on ecological and ornithological receptors. This refers to features of nature conservation importance including habitats, species and sites protected for their nature conservation value. These features have been characterised within and around the Application Site through the evaluation of existing survey data, desk studies and implementation of site specific surveys. Subsequently, this chapter presents an assessment of the potential impacts of the construction, operation and decommissioning phases of the OnTW on key ecological receptors of conservation importance. Details of mitigation are also presented.
